Top 5 Botox & Filler Questions

What is the difference between Botox and fillers?

Botox® (and other neuromodulators like Dysport®) relax the muscles that cause expression lines such as forehead wrinkles, frown lines, and crow’s feet. Dermal fillers, on the other hand, are used to restore lost volume, enhance lips, sculpt cheeks and jawlines, and smooth deep folds. Many clients at our Massachusetts medspa choose a combination of Botox and fillers for a natural, balanced look.

How long do Botox and filler results last?

Botox typically lasts 3–4 months, while dermal fillers can last 6–18 months depending on the product and treatment area. During your consultation, our nurse injectors will recommend the best plan to maintain your results.

Will I look frozen or overfilled?

Not at The Glow Up! Our experienced injectors specialize in natural results. Botox is carefully placed to soften lines without limiting your expressions, and fillers are used to enhance—not change—your features.

Botox results begin to appear in 3–7 days, with full effect at 2 weeks. Dermal fillers deliver instant volume and contour, though mild swelling may take 1–2 weeks to fully settle.

When will I see results?
Is there downtime after Botox or fillers?

Both treatments have little to no downtime. You may notice slight redness, swelling, or bruising at the injection sites, but most clients resume daily activities immediately after leaving our medspa.
